Welcome to the 88th Carnival of Healing! Eighteen contributions were submitted for this week’s Carnival, and I’m thinking I should have called it Carnival of the Brain as many of you channeled that subject to write about. Even so, the contributions ranged from the natural to the metaphysical, and each one is a gem of useful, thought-provoking information.
The brain is getting a lot of attention in the blogosphere–and rightly so. Over at Brain Fitness Alvaro Fernandez presents Lifelong Learning and New Neurons in Adults. This information gives me hope that my brain can overcome my misspent youth. Vera Nadine points out the value of Manifesting Mental Illness for Goodness Sake posted at Vera Nadine.
Michael Jones presents Your mindset is the sum total of your beliefs, values, identity, expectations, attitudes, habits, decisions, opinions…-Universal Laws of Attraction - Life's Secret Principle's posted at Change your life through the Universal Laws Of Attraction..
Another aspect of brain health is emotional health, and Kara-Leah Masina poses the question, Why do we experience suffering? posted at K-L Masina. In a great followup, Anna presents My lessons on grief from a rainbow posted at Widows Quest.
In the same vein, Alvaro Fernandez discusses yoga’s positive effect on brain chemistry in Yoga and stress management posted at Brain Fitness. Ananga explores the mind-body connection in Word Association: How Your Mind Walks Your Talk posted at Ananga Sivyer’s Living by Design Blog.
If you want to guard your emotional health, check out Barbra Sundquist’s sage advice in her article, Spend Time with People Who Appreciate You posted at WelcomeJoy.com.
On this plane our physical bodies require regular maintenance for optimum health and Aparna has a great tip–Excessive perspiration in the feet: Home Remedies–over at Beauty and Personality Grooming. Above the waist, Karen Weideman offers a timely and seasonal Thrifty Remedy for Sinus Infections posted at Thrifty Mommy–I’ll be trying that one myself. JoLynn Braley updates us on her progress with Ban the Refined Sugar Experiment Update - Week Three posted at The Fit Shack. Rounding out the articles on the physical body, Raymond David Salas presents G.I. Diet - The Healthy Way to Lose Weight posted at ZenChill.com Power Tools Blog.
Once you’ve got your brain sorted, head over to Alex Blackwell’s The Next 45 Years and check out the great article, Begin Right Now, Today. If you’ve ever been stricken with ‘analysis paralysis’, this article is for you. In the same spirit, Albert of Urban Monk asks us to examine our goals as a means to happiness in Stepping into greatness and out of unhappiness with dynamic goals - Aristotle and Ego Series.
If you’re a writer you’re always looking for inspiration, so after reading Craig Harper’s wonderful offering, So, You Want to be a Writer? over at Motivational Speaker, I suggest you head over to change therapy and read Isabella’s the roots of inspiration.
I really appreciated SKJ’s Choosing the Right Tools to Sculpt Your Life posted at The Practice of Attraction.com because after all, isn’t that what it’s all about?
If you can knit all of that wisdom together, Zenofeller has a challenge for you over at zenofeller.com. In The Real Deal, you’re reminded not to let legalities get in the way of personal relations.
That concludes this weeks Carnival. Check out last week’s Carnival at Reiki Blogger. Next week’s Carnival will be hosted by Intensive Care for the Nurturer’s Soul, and carnival archives can be found here.
