Oregon grape (bitter) is good for slow liver function, slow protein digestion, and helps released stored iron in the liver. Usually a person with this problem will have sticky stools or the stool will float.
Yellowdock (bitter) stimulating and cleansing to the liver. Good for chronic constipation. Can also be helpful for acne, especially acne on the back and behind.
